The 1st Cavalry Division established the 1st Learning Center based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Agriculture at Pho Khun Pha Muang Camp, Muang District, Phetchabun Province on February 28, 2014. The purposes of this project are to be a model in applying the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy Agriculture of King Rama IX to adapt to daily life and become a center for transferring knowledge to people and personnel. The park has an area of 51 rai, 3 ngan, and 78 square wah. The unit has raised pigs and fish, grown vegetables, and rice fields. In the past, there were many people coming to study and visit continuously, so the area was insufficient to support the people.

On November 1, 2016, the 1st Cavalry Division considered a new area on the south side of Pho Khun Pha Muang Camp, which was previously abandoned as a part of the army’s animal husbandry, with an area of 77 rai, 3 ngan, and 93 square wah. Afterward, the 1st Cavalry Division has adjusted the 1st Learning Center based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Agriculture as the Edible Park Project, Pho Khun Pha Muang Camp, 1st Cavalry Division. The unit has gentrified the surrounding area as a running and cycling route and planted various vegetables and fruits. When looking from the main road, you can see it is shade. The personnel can take both vegetables and fruits for cooking at home. It helps them to reduce the expenses. Therefore, the 1st Cavalry Division would like to invite anyone nearby to exercise and sightsee in the park.
